Thomas W. Conran

Tom Conran serves as a founding Principal of Greenwood Hospitality Group. In this capacity, Mr. Conran has the critical responsibility of growing the group via strategic investments and third-party hotel management assignments. An industry veteran, Mr. Conran has more than 35 years of hospitality experience in the management, finance, and real estate sectors.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Conran served as Vice President of Business Development for Richfield Hospitality. Mr. Conran expanded the Richfield management platform to include hospitality investments and acquisitions. During his 25 years with Richfield and its predecessor companies, Mr. Conran held several key positions including sales and marketing and property manager assignments. In addition, he was responsible for property management transitions and client relations within the management portfolio.

From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Conran also served as Vice President of Acquisitions for Regal Hotels International and successfully closed on $300 million of hotel acquisitions, including the Bostonian Hotel, the UN Plaza Hotel New York, the Knickerbocker Chicago, and the Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel. Thereafter, Mr. Conran served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Finance for Millennium Hotels, USA with active involvement in the group’s investment strategies and renovation programs for their portfolio of 13 up-scale full-service hotels.

Mr. Conran earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. Mr. Conran was a founding member of Meetings Planner International in Hartford, CT and he currently serves on the Owners’ Advisory Board of DoubleTree Hotels. Additionally, Conran serves on the Advisory Council for Marriott’s Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio. Tom is married to Sylvia Conran and they have two sons.

Greenwood Hospitality Group Aik Hong Tan
Aik Hong Tan

Aik Hong Tan serves as a Principal of Greenwood Hospitality Group. In this role, he is actively engaged in the financial and investment disciplines and growth strategies of the company.

With over 25 years experience in the financial and hospitality arena, Tan served as President of Richfield Hospitality from 2002 through mid-2009. Under his leadership, the company grew to become one of the top-ranked management companies in the U.S. During his tenure he also expanded the company’s role from a third-party property manager to an entity actively engaged in the hospitality acquisition and investment arena.

Prior to joining Richfield, Tan directed one of Asia’s leading e-commerce companies representing over 3,000 hotels worldwide. Additionally, he was a senior financial executive of a publicly traded company on the Singapore Exchange, with emphasis on power plant and energy related holdings.

During his career, Tan has overseen a number of major initiatives including development of mixed-use real estate projects, issuance of bonds to international financial institutions, disposition strategies for power related companies, oversight of e-commerce/GDS and purchasing disciplines in the hospitality arena.

Tan earned a Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore, and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He currently serves on the Executive Board to the School of Hospitality, Restaurant & Tourism Management at the University of Denver.

William Kohl

William D. Kohl oversees the strategic and operational direction of Greenwood Hospitality Group's portfolio of hotels.  Additionally, he directs the Company's activities in restaurant development, concept design and re-positioning.  Mr. Kohl's portfolio experience includes oversight of many high profile assets , direct responsibility for opening eight hotels as well as concept design of over twenty restaurants.

During his thirty-five year career, Bill has received several honors including The Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association's General Manager of the Year and the American Hotel and Lodging Association's State Leadership Award.  Kohl has been featured in Lodging Magazine and has had restaurants featured in Bon Appétit, Gourmet and Colonial Homes Magazine as well as the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal.  His restaurants consistently achieve the AAA Four Diamond Award and several have won the coveted DiRōNA Award.  He has twice been recognized by Restaurant Hospitality Magazine as a Top of the Table Award winner for restaurant design.  Bricco, one of his concepts, was twice awarded the prestigious "Culinary and Hospitality Award" by Santé Magazine recognizing it as the number one restaurant in the Mid-Atlantic Region for quality of food and service and one of nine award winners nationwide. A wine specialist, Kohl has consistently been recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine for innovative wine lists and programs.  His wine lists have routinely received the “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator.  Within the industry, he frequently lectures, teaches and writes about wine and food.

In 2014, Greenwood Hospitality Group won all four of Marriott's Franchise Brand Awards to include the Guest Relations Award, Spirit to Serve Award, Excellence in Food and Beverage and the Marriott Partnership Award.  In 2015 Greenwood once again won the Excellence in Food and Beverage Award as was entered into Marriott's Partnership Hall of Fame.

Mr. Kohl currently serves on the National Restaurant Association's Board of Directors and is immediate Past Chair of its Political Action Committee.  He is a past Director of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Past Chair of both the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association and the Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Associations.  He currently serves as a member of the Marriott Food and Beverage Advisory Committee and the Renaissance Hotels Owners' Advisory Board.  He was awarded an honorary Doctorate degree from Central Pennsylvania College in 2004.  Recently, he was named Penn State University's Alumnus of the Year for the School of Hospitality Management.  

A native of Springfield, Pennsylvania, Kohl is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management.  He is founder of Très  Bonne Année, a series of wine and food events and international wine auction for charity which raises in excess of $400,000 annually.  He is married to his wife Kim and has two adult children.

Greenwood Hospitality Group Kelly Viscount
Kelly Viscount
Vice President of Human Resources

Kelly is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Human Resources Management. She also has a Certificate of Human Resources Management from Villanova University.

Kelly began her hospitality career at the Hilton Harrisburg in 1990. She worked in the Front Office until 1994 when she transferred to the Human Resources department. She was promoted to Human Resources Manager in 1996. With the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn in 1999, she was promoted to Director of HR overseeing both properties. Kelly was promoted to Corporate Director of HR for Harrisburg Hotel Corporation in 2005, overseeing its 5 properties.

In 2014, Kelly joined the Greenwood Hospitality team as the Corporate Director of Human Resources. She was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources in July of 2017.

Kelly is a member of Society for Human Resources Management, and Human Resources Professional of Central PA. She has a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification.

A wife and mother of four children, Kelly resides in Mechanicsburg, PA where she coaches college cheerleading and volunteers for Junior Achievement.

Becky Vealey serves as the Vice President of Revenue Generation at Greenwood Hospitality Group. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the sales, revenue management and marketing initiatives for the portfolio. She and her team are responsible for sales training, developing strategic plans, brand relations, e-commerce, implementing standards and procedures, forecasting, budgeting, market development and pre-opening functions.

Ms. Vealey has over 20 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. She spent 20 years with John Q. Hammons hotels where she served in various front office and sales roles, Director of Catering, Director of Sales and Marketing, General Manager and Regional Director of Sales. Ms. Vealey has experience working with Marriott, Hilton and IHG hotels brands. As a Director of Sales and Marketing, she was responsible for the opening of two hotels. She has won various professional and community awards throughout her career including the John Q. Hammons Leadership Excellence Award and Director of Sales of the Year for Embassy Suites.

Ms. Vealey has a degree in Hospitality Management with a focus on Travel Industry Planning and Development. She is also involved in the community and a member of HSMAI.

Ben Fulwider
Vice President of Food & Beverage

Ben Fulwider serves as Vice President of Food & Beverage for Greenwood Hospitality. Mr. Fulwider is responsible for the operational oversight and execution of Greenwood’s food and beverage operations and initiatives. Mr. Fulwider has more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the hospitality market including franchise & private restaurant, hotel and destination resort settings. In his career Mr. Fulwider has held a number of high profile positions ranging from Executive Chef to Corporate Director of Food & Beverage. Prior to joining Greenwood, Mr. Fulwider served as the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage for Davidson Hotels & Resorts.

Mr. Fulwider’s experience levels and competencies cover hotel, banquet and ala-carte restaurant operations. At Greenwood, Mr. Fulwider directs food and beverage activities including concept development and execution, staff and service training programs, implementation of cost and labor controls, menu development and corporate standardization initiatives.

Mr. Fulwider is a graduate of the Culinary School at Kendall College and holds an Associate’s Degree in an Applied Science, Culinary Arts.

Joseph Shurmur

Joseph Shurmur serves as Vice President of Operations for Greenwood Hospitality Group. In this capacity, he is responsible for the overall operational direction and supervision of select properties within the Greenwood portfolio, including direct responsibility for The Henry, a multiple award-winning Autograph Collection hotel in Dearborn, MI. With over 25 years of multi-brand hospitality experience, Shurmur has held several senior level managerial positions, ranging from full service resorts to city center properties. He has operational knowledge of Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Omni Hotels, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Best Western.

Shurmur is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. He is an active member of several civic, community, and professional organizations. In addition, he achieved his Certified Hotel Administrator designation from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association.

Joe Massaro
Regional Director of Operations

Joe opened the Hilton Harrisburg in 1990 as the Director of Convention Services, has since held positions as Director of Sales, Corporate Director of Marketing and Hotel Manager. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of General Manager.

In 2017 Joe was promoted to Regional Director of Operations supervising eight hotel, restaurant and catering operations for Greenwood Hospitality.

Joe has served as Chairman of the Board of the Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging Association, Chairman of the Board for the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau, President of the Greater Dauphin County Lodging Association, Chairman of the Board of the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District and a Director on the governing board of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber. He currently Chairs the Harrisburg Young Professional's Advisory Committee.

Joe is an American Hotel and Lodging Association “Certified Hotel Administrator” and a Society of Wine Educators, Certified Specialist of Wine.

He is a past Central Penn Business Journal "Forty Under 40 Award" recipient and was named “General Manager of the Year” in 2007 by the Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association. He also received the “Excellence in Travel and Tourism Award” from the Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

A husband and father of three daughters, Joe resides in Lower Paxton Township where he volunteers for varies charity fundraisers and projects.

Dan Block
Corporate Director of Operations

Dan Block serves as Corporate Director of Operations for Greenwood Hospitality. Mr. Block has over 30 years of executive level leadership in the luxury hospitality market. His experiences range from Executive Chef with Ritz-Carlton Hotels, several senior property level positions with Destination Hotels and Resorts, area-level responsibilities with Omni Hotels and Resorts and Vice President of Operations with Lewis Properties. Mr. Block has also opened and repositioned over 19 hotel and restaurants in his career.

Mr. Block is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York. He is an active member of several local community and professional organizations.

Lori Jadzak serves as the Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for Greenwood Hospitality Group. In this capacity, Jadzak oversees sales efforts and productivity of all properties while providing support and direction over revenue generating initiatives.

In her 20 years of hospitality experience, Jadzak has a strong record of directing sales teams on achieving individual and team goals. As a results-oriented professional, she is hands-on with direct sales, sales systems, and processes. She works closely with the Revenue Management team to accurately forecast and optimize all revenue channels.

Most recently she served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn. Prior to that, she held the positions of Director of Sales and Assistant General Manager at multiple Holiday Inn Chicago-land properties.

She is an active member and former Membership Chair of Meeting Professionals International, past President of Chicago’s Holiday Inn Marketing Association, Board Member of multiple convention and visitor’s bureaus, and served as Chair for American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

Barry Dively

Barry Dively serves as the Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for Greenwood Hospitality Group. In this capacity, he oversees the strategic sales processes and productivity of ten properties in the portfolio while providing support and direction over revenue generating initiatives.

With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Dively began in front office and food and beverage operations, then began his sales career at the Atherton Hilton in State College, PA while attending school full-time. He then joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Wilmington, DE and Charleston, SC. Most recently, Dively served as Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Dively serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol, is on the advisory board at the Harrisburg Area Community College School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, and was a member in several Rotary Clubs in Harrisburg, PA, Wilmington, DE and Charleston, SC.

Courtney Russell
Corporate Director of Revenue Management

Courtney Russell serves as the Corporate Director of Revenue Management at Greenwood Hospitality where he is responsible for leading all revenue management initiatives. In his role, Mr. Russell’s main goals is to establish a team atmosphere of learning and growth to train and develop the Revenue Managers and drive positive results.   

Courtney has over 25 years of hospitality experience in roles of General Manager, Revenue Manager, Brand Revenue Manager and Area Revenue Manager.  He has experience working with Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG and Independent brands.   He was awarded Revenue Manager of the year by Starwood.

Mr. Russell is the former CEO of Synergy Revenue Management Company and was an Adjunct Lecturer for Florida Metropolitan University where he taught undergraduate courses in the areas of business, hospitality and personal career and development.

Courtney received his Bachelors’ degree as well as his MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
