Greenwood Hospitality Group Launches Investment and Management Firm

The three Greenwood principals had formerly served as senior executives of Richfield Hospitality, Inc. for a combined tenure of over 65 years. “We enjoyed many successes during our time at Richfield and we are excited to begin a new venture during a period in which we see many opportunities in both the hospitality investment and management arenas. Our experience, independence, industry relationships, and sound financial platform will enable us to effectively compete in the marketplace for both acquisitions and property management contracts,” states Tom Conran.

Greenwood has the financial support of several well-capitalized investor groups and will continue to maintain successful relationships with their branded partners. The company will seek out opportunities consistent with their core competencies in the upscale select and full-service hotel sectors. “One size fits all is not our operating philosophy. We are looking for deals and management assignments that coincide with our financial and operating expertise. From a growth perspective, we are driven by the quality and suitability of each individual opportunity to the company. This is a team effort, where all three principals are actively engaged in all facets of the business. As such, the communication and interaction within our firm will be both efficient and treated with a great sense of urgency,” states Aik Hong Tan, former President of Richfield. 

From an operational perspective, Greenwood will ensure continuity among all managed properties through an internal management package of well-designed programs and processes. The Greenwood management package includes the fundamental operating, sales, marketing, HR, and accounting tools each property requires, while still allowing each hotel the flexibility to tailor the resources to meet their specific market-driven needs. “Our reputation is dependent on the success of our clients and investors.
